Chocolate Showpiece This same centerpiece appears as the central figure in a text on the history of chocolate in a popular professional cook book and baking book. The style of this chocolate showpiece is common in Europe and is easily reproduced using hollow forms for the various components. For instance, the body is fashioned from an egg shaped chocolate mold with an applied chefs jacket and apron of thinly rolled modeling chocolate. He rests on a seat molded from a plastic drinking cup and his legs and arms are simply modeling chocolate cylinders formed around wooden dowels and then jointed together. The head is made from a sphere chocolate mold and finished with modeling chocolate hair, features, and of course, chefs hat. The base is two concentric circles of chocolate blended together with chocolate at the edges. After all the pieces are assembled a coat of sprayed on chocolate completes the chef!
