Blown Sugar Showpiece Pulled sugar may be used to make an unlimited variety of showpieces. Here it is used for a fall themed presentation that would be appropriate for a Thanksgiving or holiday buffet. The pulled sugar rose and ribbon may certainly be redundant but do provide some finish to the showpiece. The blown sugar fruit is made using a base colored sugar and then airbrushed using food color to the desired blush or highlight. Pulled sugar work like this is useful in a hotel environment as a room service amenity surround by chocolate pralines and chocolate truffles.
